Dealers, at their discretion, may ask host business management to intercede when a player does not conduct themselves accordingly.
- It is the desire of AAPL to have all venues non-smoking, however if/when the venue allows smoking, no smoking shall be tolerated at or within 10 feet of any table.
- An early start is permissible at daily games if two tables are anticipated to be in play at the venues original start time.
- Dealer decisions are final.
- Tourney points and chip units have no cash value whatsoever and are for playing purposes only.
- Blinds will be raised consistently throughout the game (see blinds table above).
- Seating for the first game of each daily is determined by the player sign up sheet. After the first game, seating is random as player's names are called from the sign up sheet. Alternates may join the tournament as soon as a seat is available and be
dealt in without penalty. There are no blinds required for alternates unless sitting down in the big blind seat. Alternates may not receive their first hand on the button or on the small blind. - The lowest denomination chip will be colored up when no longer needed. Excess chips will be "raced off" with a high card draw based on the number of chips remaining in front of players that cannot be colored up.
- All AAPL daily games are free to enter.
- Players are obligated to take all blinds.
- If the player in the Small Blind is eliminated then the dealer button will move to the empty seat. Players will post blinds as normal. This is the "dead button rule".
- If the Big Blind is eliminated the small blind position is dead and only the Big Blind is posted.
- At the beginning of the game the dealer button will be decided by a high card draw, one card for each player.
- The highest hand played during a host venue daily event schedule will receive one stamp on their loyalty card.
- Four of a king or straight flush receives a tourney point. Royal flush hands will receive a special recognition and two tourney points.
- The game is over when onlly three players remain. The chip leader receives 3 tourney points, the second largest stack receives 2 tourney points and the remaining player receives 1 tourney point. The winner of the game is determined by chip stack count and there are no playoffs. In the event of a 1st place, tie both players receive 3 tourney points. In the event of a tie for 2nd place both players receive 2 tourney points and no third place will be awarded.
- Once a player has been eliminated from a game they may participate in another table's play if the following criteria have been met: 1) the player has not played in that game prior; 2) there are more than 4 players in the game; 3) the blinds have not yet reached 400 & 800 CUs.
- If two players are eliminated on the same hand, which ever player had more chips starting the hand will be awarded the higher finishing position.
- Side pots will be used when necessary.
- Rabbit hunting is allowed only when the player winning the pot has no objection. Players are encouraged to keep this to a minimum so as to keep the play moving. Dealers have the discretion not to rabbit hunt in the interest of time.
- A Player must show both cards to win a pot. No slow rolling of cards, players should turn both cards over immediately when asked by the dealer.
- Once a reasonable amount of time has passed and a clock is called for, a player will be given a maximum of one minute to make a decision. If action has not been taken before time expires, there will be a 10-second countdown. If a player has not acted by the time the countdown is over, the player’s hand will be dead.
- All chips and cards must remain on the table at all times and be clearly visible to the dealer and other players. Always have your highest denomination chips clearly visible in your chip stack.
- No string betting or splashing of the pot, place your chips in an open space in front of you in one fluid motion.
- Oversized chip(s) put in play without a declared raise count as a call.
- There is no cap on the number of raises. Raises must be at least the size of the previous raise. A raise must be made by 1) placing the amount in the pot in one motion; or 2) verbally declaring the amount prior to the initial placement of chips into the pot; or 3) verbally declaring “raise” prior to the placement of the amount to call into the pot and then completing the action with one additional motion. A raise of 50% or more of the previous bet but less than the minimum raise, the player will be
required to raise to the minimum raise allowed. An all-in bet of less than a full raise does not reopen the betting to players who has already acted. - All players are prohibited from placing any form of currency on the poker table during games.
- No gambling or wagering at any event, players receive tourney point values that have no cash value.
- If a player shows their live cards to another player who is still in the hand then he/she has to show everyone. If the player shows his/her hand to someone who has folded the other players may ask to see the cards but the cards may only be shown after the hand has been completed.
- If a player is not seated at the table when the last card is dealt to the button the dealer MUST muck the cards.
- Ten stamps on an AAPL loyalty card equals one tourney point (tourney points have no cash value).
